@77BLc9JwJGpLVARkamJx The anonymous woman was supposedly from a branch of his company, so that means it wasn't the dentist, not the teacher, but a thirds one, and with Ayako now that makes 4, i really wish Hayafumi is the one that ends dying on this story.
@boag If i remember correctly it seems that Japan has really lousy laws against sexual violence, and their society stigmatize against the female victims (people will spread rumors about them, they will find it harder to marry, and being a traditional society, older single women are usually looked down upon, even those that remain in the work force), so even if they speak up they will come on losing on the long run while their rapist will recover with time, with that said, for this particular story in which everyone and their grandma knows that Hayafumi is a serial rapist they can just speak up and come together to avoid the stigma by portraying him for what he really is, and that way by bringing public opinion to their side avoid the bad consequences of a shitty social and legal system, while also ruining his image to a point where he couldn't recover with time, so i do agree that taking into account the parameters of this manga these women are dumb.
And that goes double for the wife of Hayafumi, the most dumb of them all, not only did she married a scumbag, she also left her job to chase the stupid dream of becoming a housewife, and in doing so cornered herself to being dependent on her husband (also she helped to reinforce the idea that hiring women is a waste of recourse for a company since they will eventually marry and then quick, becoming a waste of time, effort, and money in training someone who is not going to last, while it also spreads the other idea that women go into a company not to work but to hunt a husband, all of which help to promote the conditions of work inequality for women), so now she has to forgive all his shit in order to protect her livelihood and fake lifestyle.
@dejw man i really hope that gets to play a factor on this, because it is some great evidence, but then again, can't expect much. I am actually kind of disappointed with this manga, at least we got one of the parties getting into the mindset of fighting back, of course they should have done it as a legal battle, even within an unfair system, it is better than what they are doing now, the second half of this story better pick up on the action.
