This was a surprisingly pleasant ending for such an overdramatic story arc. It's almost the opposite of the last arc, where the sudden violent climax soured a solid beginning and middle.

The author is capable of writing compelling drama, but I think they need to tone down the soap opera and focus on their great characters.

I feel like ugh this arc could’ve been better. Like I hate when characters suffer from no memory, it should not have to take kaede reminding izumi when he’s on perc30’s off a manic episode for him to realize he has homies, realistically there were several triggers where it should’ve popped up, when the gf was explaining her past he should’ve immediately thought kaede I assumed he would, the whole thing with his pops when they came over they all left without even fully discussing anything when this is taking place immediately after kaede’s stuff why didn’t he go to his homies…why is he NEGLECTING THE HOMIES. Codependent relationship I get it but like the toxic perfect relationship obviously wasn’t going to work without a suicide pact, he should’ve taken it, it’s romantic
