I can't believe this manga is actually handling this topic well. Like I don't have a lot of faith in Japanese culture about stuff like this, but the author's doing a pretty good job so far.

Not trying to make a joke, but is it possible that the author had some type of experience with this subject? Or maybe someone very close to the author went thru something like this?

tbh Japanese culture in general is a weird-ass mixture of "2070 came early" and "1970 is still hanging around"

This is the same country that has whole industries based on gay and lesbian fiction, yet still has modern series using weird LGBT stereotypes.
