Yep here comes the social influence. Even though she WANTS to trust him, society's and her own upbringing standards creeps on her despite her.
I'm actually glad the author decided to go this route.
I fundamentally agree with you, but I find it kitschy when people blame the ultra-abstract "society"-- at least with no further specificity.

She's completely out of her depth-- she has zero real experience with men, or intimacy. She doesn't even have any preliminary building blocks for the sake of those things. This is already barely a "real" thing to her, because she's never experienced anything like it herself. She's preoccupied with purity, and she possibly loathes the idea of having to compete with other women or otherwise potentially being compared to them. Who knows what came first-- was said preoccupation mostly intrinsic to her to begin with, able to be reinforced by the media she gravitated towards and the widespread contradiction in attitudes towards sex and rape? Or was it acquired from the outside in the first place?

It doesn't especially matter, because her failure to resolve her cognitive dissonance in the "right" way is regardless on her head, and is going to cause harm.

She can be held accountable for the mental battle she lost-- "society" can't.

A number of identities can be held responsible, but "society" can't.

The protocols of institutions (e.g. legal, educational), and the people who fashioned and/or enforced them can be blamed. "Society" can't-- definitely not in a way that matters.

Even an entire village, or town, could somewhat be altogether held accountable... but there's obviously no such group awareness in this case, or in most of real life. It's definitely a widespread thought, but not among people that have a particularly strong sense of responsibility to each other.

All that said, I second your praise of the mangaka. I was expecting this to be less dimensional than it actually ended up being. What she'll do next is idiotic, but she'll be at least slightly sympathetic.

atleast his homies really care toward kaede even if he got rejected, he still has true friends around.
do the homie

There it is

I admit I went back to previous chapter threads and replied to the first guy that was acting smug about how positively this story was going.

While he is beyond any doubt a victim, her doubts are not completely invalid, and deserve to be addressed.
Most importantly, a skilled manipulator can instill a sense of hopelessness in a victim, preventing them from fighting back.
A teacher also has a huge amount of authority in Japan.
Such facts, together with his nature, could have caused him to behave the way he did.
Also its good to see, that she's actively trying to prevent victim blaming in her thoughts, even though it's taking a toll on her.

Theres def 1 thing you can blame her for
The reason she finds it disgusting is her stupid concept of shoujo love IRL as you can see on the chapter when she talks about the acts more than whose at fault, which makes her judge him 2x times harder than a normal person would

So yeah, she still trash lez go

Now, I hope that "disgusting" was for what had happened to the protagonist and for what he dared to think, and not for any thoughts on the sexual act itself. However it makes sense, if you like a person who tells you something like that certain thoughts you might have them without wanting to. At that age then.

Not in this day and age. Her situation is pretty unique getting raised in a highly prutanical house hold. (in previous chepters, you see that her mom quickly changes the channel as she passed since there was about to be a kissing scene on screen. This clues in the readers how she was raised)

She rejects the very idea of intimicy and literally victim blaming right now. (He could get away but didn't)

Only if the school decided not to cover their asses and fire her quietly, and only if she was actually convicted
Yeah I also think they covered her because it would've made a lot of noises if they went to court
