Or the psychiatrist would shoot themselves in the head.if everyone had therapy, this manga would last 2 pages
This is the first time she's done anything in the storyDid we see this empire girl in action before? I have the impression we did, but I can't quite remember her ability... but if she is on par with Zoe... yeah, they have no chance.
I am pretty sure that the reason that Kathryn is so reluctant to mass murder the civilians is that she's irrationally loyal to the Emperor's mission (as we saw in her interactions with the scarred guy), and given that they know that Demi keeps scouting the lands like the Eye of Sauron, if she makes such a mess that it's easily visible from afar she'll blow her cover and show that she's coming, going against her direct orders. Someone pointed out that she could easily guess that they are sending the mirror to Londo because it's a pretty easy conclusion to make after seeing the Rami they sent out undercover, but I think there's a clear parallel being drawn with Oscar (who also used to be a fanatic, but mellowed out) and Zahid who is having a crisis of loyalty. Not being able to take a quick decision against her orders by herself to take them out in one shot when they are right next to her will cost the Empire dearly.Reminder that it is entirely possible the Emperor is a dude, as we know they are currently wearing the appearance of Akira’s wife.
The Emperor definitely tunes their manipulations depending on the Ramus. For Carl, they told him he could be the strongest, for Kayano they act like a mother, for Kathryn, they act as a mix between parent and lover, and Temu’s (from Chapter 17) last words were regret about not being able to pay the Emperor back, so clearly he was loyal as well. Only Akira sees through the bullshit, likely due to knowing them beforehand.
I found it disturbing how transparently jealous Kathryn is of Kayano, but it seems she is not completely terrible at heart, as she worries about civilian casualties, much like Temu did.
Lucas growing closer to Coura while his relationship with Zoe gets strained feels symbolic of how he is embracing the violence. Speaking of Zoe, things are building up for having a breakdown at the worst possible moment.
Pretty decent chance Zahid will die, probably something along the lines of his good luck working for someone else for a change (Oscar), and inadvertently leaving Zahid himself to his doom. Or maybe Oscar will somehow die, and Zahid will start growing from it. Either way, this chapter felt like it was placing death flags all over for them.
Note how the Pope really simplified what Druids are supposed to be when explaining them to the troops. Telling them the Druids are magic trees is much easier than telling them they are extra dimensional aliens.
Into good taste and into doing nothing wrongLucas is sinking deeper and deeper. Sadge.
You think mercenaries who spent their lives battling and killing for money and pillaging in the middle ages went to therapy? Therapy is fake and would make them all less competent.if everyone had therapy, this manga would last 2 pages
Like when the pope had to explain what is the power of the garland, he had to start explaining what is outer space, and he had to simplify that one too. Like, there is lots of empty space up there, but there are also big rocks floating, and the garlands makes some of those big rocks fall down here. (which is funny because by simplifying it's still getting a mostly correct description of what it really is)Note how the Pope really simplified what Druids are supposed to be when explaining them to the troops. Telling them the Druids are magic trees is much easier than telling them they are extra dimensional aliens.
You might be thinking of the guy that could control metal. He died back in chapter 23.Did we see this empire girl in action before? I have the impression we did, but I can't quite remember her ability... but if she is on par with Zoe... yeah, they have no chance.
