Literally came here to type this… if dude had enough technical skill to build a fucking cloning device then why the hell was he struggling writing tokusatsu for a living :thonk::questionblob::notlikethis::wtf::question:
Well, they are 2 different things that cater to different subjects.

EHHH he was a writer, a half ass actor, and all of the suddenly this wacky scientific inventor with the knowledge to build a cloning machine? the story was coming pretty well but suddenly its like they remembered this was yellow's backstory and forced to make it fit and cover a bunch of plot holes like his age

No, I meant why was he wasting his time and his talent writing tv shows instead applying himself in something better suited this engineering / scientific skill (that has come out of nowhere)

Edit because ppl think im saying that being good at one should make him good at the other:

Maybe his second personality just happened to be a insanely genius, but really odd to see the guy suddenly become a scientist in half of a year :pepehmm: But well, as Kiritani/Negi just said, it is all thanks to power of divine dragon, thats the plot :korone: Probably, divine dragon power can distort reality, considering we saw how Yakushi Usukubo creat so many powers for Death Messiah based on his obsessive imagination. So it possibly made Shinya become a STEM guy so quickly. And Magatia power also somewhat foreshadow that dragon divine can change/creat alot of things by imagination
But really, I hope Negi got more explain to dragon power in future chapters.

"He could make a cloning machine because of the Divine Dragon power"

Ah yes, and also somehow Palpatine returned

How the fuck do you go from scriptwriting to building a divine dragon energy clone incubator? Using his plot device making skills?
I mean, it’s not pure technology though right? It’s magitech. A lot more of it is probably coming from the divine dragons powers than the actual technology, and the main reason he knows about that is because his wife told him about the divine dragon abilities and how they work while pretending it was just an idea for his script.

I think he's offing himself because even though he created 2 of him to do separate things, the original still have the same conflicts. Since he only copy and doesn't transfer to two new body

Hadn't quite catch onto the detail that it is true shinya has been shown to be rather really good at doing other things apart from writing, he was even praised for being a rather good actor in his first day. So he just had the bad luck of being horrible at the thing he wanted to be good

Imma just choose to ignore the cloning tech development lol

But damn his descent into being absolutely fucking insane was fun (?) to see, I never expected him to kill himself tho

This is just the sitcom plot of creating clones of yourself so that you can do two things at once. Except here he just went “you be the family man, you be the writer. Aight imma kill myself, good luck dealing with my mess”

At some point I think we might’ve jumped the shark, but I’m not sure when
We have jumped the shark a while ago. At this point I think we are jumping Godzilla. Just absolutely bonkers crazy series that is so entertaining lol.

I guess he knows himself well enough to know kid versions of himself will follow his midlife-crisis commandment. If I had two 10-year-old clones of myself, there's no way I could trust them to even do chores for a week, much less "find the meaning of my life".
They'd be playing Fortnite and using my credit card for Roblox before my body was cold.

This chapter shows how our dear author has some difficulty to make a well written story. Since the fight against Angel's father, I thought things were becoming too complicated too fast, and I still think that. I'm still reading it, but I don't have any hope for the story. I think it'll just be a mess.

At least, the characters are interesting.

Negi the hack is doing it again, you can't just ignore stuff like this by saying "Yeah, boring stuff, let's move on." BITCH, THAT'S THE MAIN PLOT!!

The jump from scriptwriter to mad scientist is abrupt, yes, but the thing that bothers me is why did the clone revive the dragon keepers in particular? He himself even goes "time to dispose of the flop" and kills himself, so why would the clones stay focused on the show that failed? The good parts weren't even his, it was a combination of the divine dragons lore his wife told him, and the writing of the other writer.
