5 parts and still nobody caresWriter turned actor, turned farmer, builds a cloning machine using ancient dragon magic and then kills himself
Pretty sure the shark was jumped last arc with the resurrected executives being used by a monster lover cult that turned all the members into monsters and when D learned he and the other grunts are just single entity scattered into endless grunt soldiers am still have convinced its going to be revealed all the grunts are actually the final boss and D will have to deal with it waking up an devouring all the grunts and him into itself and trying to keep his individualityThis is just the sitcom plot of creating clones of yourself so that you can do two things at once. Except here he just went “you be the family man, you be the writer. Aight imma kill myself, good luck dealing with my mess”
At some point I think we might’ve jumped the shark, but I’m not sure when
footsoldiers arent one entitity, they just share an energy sourcePretty sure the shark was jumped last arc with the resurrected executives being used by a monster lover cult that turned all the members into monsters and when D learned he and the other grunts are just single entity scattered into endless grunt soldiers am still have convinced its going to be revealed all the grunts are actually the final boss and D will have to deal with it waking up an devouring all the grunts and him into itself and trying to keep his individuality
"It's Divine Dragon energy, I ain't gotta explain shit"I think, I`ve missed the point, where he became a technical genius...
Did he just... decid to build a clone incubator - and then he just built it? Just like that?
I'm still banking on D being kiritani and hitoko's child, well at least a fragment of himHoly shit. Okay I didn't predict that one, but that's part of what I like about the series.
Now, my interpretations.
First of all, Kiritani clearly said he could only build the incubator thanks to the divine power of the dragon, and how truly "divine" it is. I'm guessing one of the many blessings from the dragon that Yellow Keeper has in the present has to do with gaining knowledge, thus why the Yellow garrison deals with the I+D of the Dragon Keepers. I'm also guessing this is how he gained the skills to convert the priests into divine tools.
Next, I was expecting him to live a double life with DID, but he went too insane and split himself apart. We have only seen one Yellow Keeper so far (IIRC, "guard" Kiritani is still Yellow Keeper, just inside the dream) so maybe the "Family" Kiritani died at the hands of "Yellow" Kiritani, or suicided after his family all got turned into weapons? Or maybe he's just hidden and waiting for revenge or something. But I think it's pretty clear that both clones are going into conflict of interests...
(also kind of a stupid move to leave them at 10yo, how the f is going a child to live with his much older "wife"?)
And finally, it was pointed out in comments on other chapters, but Yumeko couldn't be Kiritani's child, and now it's confirmed it was a boy. It seems he died anyway, but if the "Family" Kiritani kept trying to revive/clone the child, it could be possible that he is present currently in the story. And as someone pointed out, there's this weird new dude in the Yellow Battalion with an uncanny resemblance to Kiritani...
Anyway, seems like the flashbacks are finally coming to an end, and Soldier D probably slept through most of it 🤷
dang, kinda reminds me of Soma a bit nglI think he's offing himself because even though he created 2 of him to do separate things, the original still have the same conflicts. Since he only copy and doesn't transfer to two new body
Oh what you want Divine Dragon power to have a super detailed explanation? Really? You want this manga to waste several pages of panels on a reddit tier explanation of the power system?this has gotten so insanely dumb lol
He found out his wife was connected to god like power he didn't fully comprehend, then told a murderer everything is fine and then reported him to the police in an unknown order, because he gradually and completely lost it from the stress of being a fanatically dedicated creative on a show that absolutely flopped ugly style.I'm sorry, but you can't just "so anyway..." the part(s) between "I used to write kid's shows and lost my infant child." and "Me and my wife built a magic-powered cloning device, and it's the pro version so it ages the clones too."
Like, we don't need a 5-chapter technical presentation on it, but we need a bit more than a "and then"!
That's the point brah, Yellow is broken to a degree he would throw this away.I don't know man, living a happy life with wifey together with miko sisters seems like the better dream
If only they communicated their grief
Yep, those are all parts of the story that we can see on the pages of the manga chapter under discussion in the thread this message is in.He found out his wife was connected to god like power he didn't fully comprehend, then told a murderer everything is fine and then reported him to the police in an unknown order, because he gradually and completely lost it from the stress of being a fanatically dedicated creative on a show that absolutely flopped ugly style.
It was building to a boiling point the entire time.
Every scene with the shrine maidens is trying to communicate absurd cosmic power hidden away to all but one very broken man.
Only manga fans could find this difficult to follow istg
