The one possibility I can think of for duster-kun surviving is that the fake sword dusted rather than reverting to a severed left arm, like the severed arm that was left over when the other duster bit it. It might just be a function of it being transformed when he died, or of different effects of the divine tools, but there is a slim chance that it wasn't affected because it wasn't attached to his body at the time, and he might be able to come back from just that.

@Vergilx69 The whole gimmick about the Divine Tools is that they override the villains' immortality. Unless Blue faked it or some other plot twist, D is dead.

I know the divine weapons kill them permanently, but he wasn't "complete" when he died...

Sure, I could be wrong....but I'm 90% sure the author wouldn't kill his own Mc in such a linear plot like this...

Heck, the only other manga I know that tried something similar to this was Munou no Nana, and even then the first "Mc" survived...

Except maybe we got baited and D was never meant to be a main character. he never in the promotional poster after all. so it would not be weird if he died permanently.
the real main character is Himeko and Sakurama. i think it would be interesting if it switch POV to other foot soldier. like D said each foot soldier had different speciality and his was able to transform. maybe we will have different foot soldier with different abilities working for Yumeko and Sakurama?

this kinda remind me of talentless nana where fake MC died within few first chapter and then the POV switched to the real MC

ofc maybe there's some plot twist or Negi decided to play his plot armor card where D somehow survive or come back from dead. but as far as we know he's dead

@Vergilx69 Except they're not a starfish. Not to mention, what you're referring to is asexual reproduction, which is a completely different concept. I'm pretty sure the villains can't reproduce by cutting off their own arms, and even if they did, D would still die. What would live on would be D's "son", not D himself.

There was also the previous grunt that was killed by Red's Divine Tool. He clearly left behind an arm. Does that mean he can come back too and the Divine Tool is useless?
