I see why D would have problems with the invaders being seen as people needing to be "rescued", but looking at those Sunday shows... isn't that the case for 99% of the footsoldiers? They have completely resigned themselves to being the rangers' lackeys, just like they've been the executives' lackeys before that. It might hurt D's pride, but that's a pride few among his fellows currently share. Also, the people in the association likely haven't spoken to an actual invader before face-to-face, so based on what they know, their views are hardly surprising and frankly, understandable, even if they don't know the full truth.
