Especially when he was a kid. He's got every right to have his xenophobia. He's also clearly worried about his sister, though he could certainly use better words. Either way, RANDOM MASCULINE WOMAN VILLAIN OUT OF NOWHERE. This failed knight is such a random inclusion with no real precedence other than to give best girl a chance to return.

This is Probably the greatest Sentai Manga i’ve ever read lmao, it mixed the isekai & Toku tropes beautifully. the concept of bonds, the ever so optimistic Red Ranger with hidden dark past, A Kamen Rider who has many forms, also the Monster of the Week concept with Monster Generals with Evil Intentions behind them. we even got romance that are super visible but not overpowering the main theme of the manga

Dont forget about red falling in love with silver, and then losing her to the big bad in the final fight of his world but she was actually isekai'd before him, for an extra dramatic touch.
