Thankfully though, they mangaka was still able to deliver chapters 65&66, the chapters I believe to be the strongest in the series. I hope I can deliver this last two chapters in a timely manner

Really hope the reason for the execution is just something fake for the public to feel at ease while Viper can live a normal life with the demons & Kisaragi. Two more to go in the manga adaption so thanks for the translations.

Going against authority is quite “evil”. Saving Vi and in effect causing chaos in the kingdom is also an “evil” act, probably just as bad or worse than the chaos due to the oil slime.

For the sake of consistency, they should be or will soon be swimming in evil points in breaking Vi out.

judging from the artist's past tweets, it seems it was planned that they'd wrap up the manga adaption once this arc concluded cause the respective light novel volume ends with this arc as well. so the only reason i can think of why the chapter feels rushed is probably because they wanted to cram the end into one volume and not have a few chapters left that need to be published in another volume alongside random stuff to fill the pages.
