For some reason, I'm thinking of a line from that Doctor Who episode where Rose Tylor meets Sarah Jane Smith: "The Missus and the Ex. Welcome to every man's worst nightmare."

Ex-roommate here instead of a romantic partner, but it feels relevant somehow. Maybe it's the scene later on where Rose and Sarah Jane start swapping Doctor stories.
