Interestingly, they got the Dingo's temperament and species wrong (a first for this series IMO).

Dingo's are dogs (typically wild) that took are decended from Asia's Grey Wolf.

They also aren't typically a highly aggressive animal. They're opportunistic carnivores (yes, they can eat babies if left unsupervised in the open), but really only get aggressive when confronted with strange individuals inside their territory (dingos are very territorial).

Dingos can even be kept as pets in various parts of Australia, although they only bond with people they come into contact with while still pups (consider them a part of the pack I guess?). It can be worked around for special conditions though (local dingo reservation nearby has regular visitors which has caused the dingos there to become accustomed to strangers)
