If people want to discuss shit that isn't the series themselves there's an offtopic section in the forums. No need to flood comment sections of manga with baseless shitflinging over politics and other nonsensical nothing. Which is why Koolio, Rapeman, etc. should definitely get the boot on their neck for attempting to start arguments over things not having anything to do with them in the first place.

Well I'm glad to see someone working on bringing this back to dex. Not sure what there is to fight about with the rule change at this point. That shit is done and over with. Most of the scanlators who left were some of the most cancerous on the site and a lot of them had really poor quality due to originally being scan snipers.

@diogenes I kinda understand both sides. on one hand, this is a platform for manga, not personal politics (that's what the comments are for Lmao). Credits pages are am ettiquite and should be used as such. To give credit, recruit more people to work on manga, and maybe translation notes.
On the other hand, scanslators aren't some formal entity and many do use credits pages for other purposes like memes, ads to other manga they translate, etc. And it seems a bit insular to create a rule tailored more towards 1-2 groups who are using them in a way the staff doesn't like. And let's face it, the kinds of manga rape man translates tend to be the kind with edgy shit anyway. Maybe it'd make sense if he was putting Nazi shit on Komi, but tasteless joke on tasteless manga is just water on a fish.
all that said, I'm surprised rape man touched this to begin with. this is extremely vanilla compared to most of his other stuff.

This whole credit page controversy has flown right past me and quite frankly I prefer to remain ignorant.
I do remember some utterly tasteless credit pages, most were just your tipical teenage edgelord stupidity, some seemed to be taken directly from /pol/, complete with toxic idiocy and all. I was never offended, just saddened at what an utter train wreck the latter ones were. I think their removal only helps enjoy this manga. Mainly because of the mood whiplash they caused.
As a final thought, let's just appreciate the fact that the guy's online handle was rapeman.
Nothing of value was lost.

Except they weren't really "cracked down on." If they continued to have garbage edgy/propaganda "credit" pages, they would risk having said credit page of new releases removed by staff. That's it. Nobody would be banned. No chapters would be removed.

But really if you're just going to 95% rip my old scripts please put the shit through a spell checker first, wouldn't want anyone thinking I made all them typos. And don't forget to re-typeset the SFX too, polish is important.

tl;dr: Having future releases edited by admins isn't my bag, and 3.2.6 would preclude leaving gaps and uploading only safe chapters, which makes the site fairly pointless to use for me at least. So may as well remove it all and help create the neutral #safespace the rules and mods desire chapter discussion to be now. Just imagine the horror if those legacy comment sections had even one more political comment posted. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It isn't about "safe spaces." Irrelevant extra pages are just annoying. As I said, yours didn't annoy me that much, but Koolio's sure did. It's better to ban all irrelevant extra pages than cherry pick one side of the extreme. They also would not have touched your past releases.
Edit: I agree that it looks like they at least used your transcript for that page, and that's scummy. If they did the same for the rest of the chapter as well, it should probably be removed.

But a mention that they're ripping would be nice, in addition to some proofreading of said rips.
