As for my name, an ahoge is just bedhair. Its also translated as cowlick at times, usually said that dumb/adorable characters have them. In anime/manga its a piece of hair that sticks out. In Rising of the Shield Hero, its the sign that Firo/Filo is the Queen of the Filorials and gives her special powers.
