At any rate, the brats are evolving, clearly. Like successive generations of a virus-- rather than violently killing their host, it's made more subtle its damage and intensity as to achieve its own goal and the host in which that goal is achieved.
I can dig it. I know a lot of people consider this (as it stands) as a departure from the manga premise, and that's not false. On the other hand, I like the yandere archetype, and I also like "brat-dom" (I suppose you call this)-- so I'm "eating good", as the young'ins say.
