Once again those useless forefathers do nothing but argue and waste his mana and leave him exhausted for seemingly no reason. For a moment there it looked like they remembered they were supposed to help him, but no useless. If they suddenly have it "oh we were using your mana so that you would have more mana" when they never even informed him of such in the first place that would be so stupid.

I'm glad something might finally happen soon, I like the art and idea behind this one but the pacing is way to sluggish. I just want something, anything to happen.

But yeah that's exactly what was revealed later in the story, though that's waaaay in the future and I don't know if there were changes in the LN.

It's explained in the LN that most of them are making a ruckus and draining him as much as possible daily in order to try and help raise the amount since the first is uncooperative at this point. He's exhausted becese he's always technically training

Several generations, and he still refuses to just cooperate. I can only imagine the disappointment of each heir when they learned who the great patriarch really was. And constantly relearn who he really was.

If only they could just cast the first out, and just teach the arts themselves :bleh:

This is the first time any of them manifested in the jewel, it's never happened before Lyle

tbf, they didn't know they were 'supposed' to help Lyle. the novel shows the others don't believe the first's theory of the heretical god;s child , and think it's just a fairy tale. Also, some of them especially the First haven't acknowledged him.

Also, being basically 'teachers' while all of them are together at the same time is pretty new for them too. some of them didn't know each other/ get along with each other so it takes time for them to settle some family disputes/get into an organized role.

Finally, we reached this monster extermination quest.
I have been waiting for this moment because the ancestors only become less noisy after this.
I'm sad that the artists didn't adapt the side story before Lyle meet Aria. I know a lot of WN's fun stuff got cut but I just wanted to see them in some form. I know some of you would enjoy seeing those high and mighty ancestors behaving like scaredy cats before their imaginary wives. In the end, they're just like Lyle. Their asses are all whipped by their wives.

Can't be helped. The others' art uses tremendous amount of mana that the 1st' "Full Over" Art requires it. Especially the 6th's art, while it's not good for combat but it's the best art.

It might take years of draining mana training if they plan teach him without Full Over.

Not just the first, all of them have something missing in their head.

Jaded old men criticize a naive young master. Nothing strange with that. The problem is that they are taking too long to help Lyle overcome those problems.

Boomer-kun needs to be shot. With the average age in japan going higher and higher is the author commenting on how fucking annoying all these old fucks get talking about back in my day.

I think I'll buy a volume of this though, I really want more adapted.

I was thinking, "He's gonna build a ton of MP capacity with all that expenditure, isn't he?" It makes sense.
