The first's skills are needed to offset the mana problem. And even that is not enough for some of their skills.

I always feel the second head could just give him skills immediately since 2nd's skills hardly cost mana.

I felt like that as well, but there was a reason why he didn't when I read the LN, I can't remember though.

Thanks for including the WN bit with the wives, that was a good chuckle. Surprisingly this is when I realized that there were 7 former heads, which leads me to be confused as to why the series is called Seventh when Lyle is the Ninth?
