Honestly the worst of lyle getting shat on by the story was passed after the bandit raid since from that point on he builds a better reputation with the world around him and his ancestors all now see him as compitant.
The ancestors commentary is never as harsh as the first part of the story, since the first head likes him now but lyle will still get lightly teased by his ancestors mainly how the first ribs him in this chapter about anything not related to Aria (which also stops reletively soon)

Did you not read this chapter? He gets a terrible nickname, a bunch of people insult and belittle him including the ancestors, and he gets absolutely zero recognition for the things he's done. The entire chapter is just people insulting and looking down on him from start to finish.

Seriously,

-he got the title of stupid noble brat, which is now spreading.
-got shat on by the first a bunch, who basically wants him to be the biggest simp for Aria.
-gave up all his rewards after he also paid for this entire endeavour to rescue her.
-Zelphy calls him enemy of all women and treats him like shit.
-was accused of using favors and other means to forcing women into his bed.
-called a pervert, scum, etc.

How is this in any way shape or form an improvement? He's still treated like a complete doormat, gets zero rewards or recognition and everyone constantly shits on him.

No, the plan was for people to initially think that so he'd be underestimated, and him then get a positive reputation for taking down the bandits. Except hat doesn't happen, at all. Instead everyone keeps thinking the worst of him.

And thanks for admitting that the story won't improve or change, you pretty much just said he's going to be treated like scum and looked down on by folks in perpetuity. So you were straight up lying about things improving and the worst being over. Even named characters such as Zelphy treat him this way. It being a "running gag" doesn't change that it's the author just constantly shitting on the MC.

Hell, even the ancestors haven't changed. Did you miss the horrible outbursts by the first demanding Lyle become Aria's simp and bend over backwards for her? He doesn't like Lyle, he likes Aria.

I'm sorry I don't know what you want to hear but like I said even though he's given a bad nickname you can see on page 1 that his achievements are spreading people just also misunderstand him as a bad person too. only mob characters use those kinds of nicknames and buy into the bad rumors. Named characters and people who matter don't do that. Zelphy only gets on his ass over harem related matters (whuch doesn't even happen in the LN) and like I said the first does like Lyle now that is a plot point and the first's Aria simping dies out for good in this current arc

the guy was basically forced into taking her as his slave because of her father's debts, yet despite that being a pretty noble thing that's been misconstrued as something nefarious. why? the womanizer thing sucks but that's just kind of the circumstance, but zelphy calling him the enemy of all women despite being acutely aware of the circumstances is just plain dumb. also i really hope the first shuts up soon. he has so far been a bigger villain than the sister.
