@Sarsak I wouldn't know exactly how, but I can see the reason why. Both committed great sins for what they believed, despite the subtle doubts they had. During the Shaman Fight, they regret the murders they've committed and vowed to redeem themselves for it. At the same time, Ren definitely still wants to empower the Tao bloodline, so he definitely would have went for one of the strongest shamans after Hao, and it was going to either be Jeanne or Sati, but Sati definitely way too old or maybe even dead? I don't know for sure. Either way, I think Jeanne x Ren was actually pretty fitting, especially when they're two sides of the same coin.
