The guy's at fault, cause he's a pussy ass bitch. She's like, I can't go to your thing cause I already promised my friends to go to my thing, but if you want and you're able you can also come to my thing. That is 100% a perfectly reasonable proposal. He hadn't invited anyone yet so it's not like he was tied up, and even if he was he's pretty much a grown ass man so he can make his own decisions about who to hang out with and where. It doesn't fucking matter that they're famous people, if you let that shit bother you it's your own fucking fault. If he says he doesn't wanna go, what's she supposed to do, make him? That's not her fucking job. She proactively suggested a solution where they could spend time together and he rejected it cause he's a scaredy ass little shit. He deserves to lose her when he acts like this. Grow up, dude.
Comment this then end it with a grow up. truly humorous

I see a lot of people hating on her, but I don't see what she did wrong?
First, she prioritised an already decided engagement over the MC's proposed one, and that's not wrong. She couldn't have just cancelled it, especially for no reason, that'd be rude.
As for her saying "The actor ABC" or "The model XYZ", it could be because she wants the MC to know who she is talking about, and the "Actor" or "Model" tag gives him a reference, as she might have spoken about them before. Or, it might just be a quirk of the Japanese language to add the job/relation of a person when the person you are speaking with doesn't know them.
As for her dropping the topic, and not consoling the MC, I blame it on the MC. Saying something like "A normal person like me" makes for a really awkward moment. Nobody really knows how to react to such a statement. And, she might even be feeling bad that she was forcing the MC into a spot.
Just remembered this series after having commented on this more than 2 months ago and only now having noticed ch18. Had to check the spicy comments and takes on this one and your comment takes the cake for least thought out and most wrong/shallow.

She knew she had "already decided engagements" and still gave him hope when he pushed his guts to the max to ask her out. She clearly can't cancel a "work related" meetup, sure. It still shouldn't take 12+ hours, hopefully. Also, she could've declined politely after giving him false hope- she indirectly talked down on him and other people there, agreed with his take of "we live in different worlds, we should mind our distance" and then had the gall to tell him to ditch HIS prior plans to go with her to see "actor-kun", lamo. THAT was rude.
Also, this is in perfect contrast to ch13, where she proposed plans and he saw that she was distressed and he did everything in his might to make her happy, even postponing his plans. She can't even be polite and ask for another day or any other polite way of declining. She instead did what she knew he disliked.

The next part about the actor and model blabla, she could have the best intentions, it is whatever. She did say it at a moment and in a way that told him "ditch your mortal meetup and come meet all these strangers that are of higher social standing. I by now know you hate that kind of stuff but I still tell you to come because this meetup is better." That is why people were mad at her. She didn't think about him at all.
It didn't give him reference. It isn't a quirk. You are reaching extremely far. He knows she is around these people (actors, models etc.) constantly, again, which she knows he dislikes. She fully knows that he isn't good around strangers and celebs.

How can you blame the MC? He clearly had a problem with it and she knew, holy moly. When she was distressed and he saw it, he did EVERYTHING he could. Why can't she? How can anyone blame him for being justifiably not happy?
She clearly is feeling bad, she did WHAT SHE KNEW was wrong in that moment and realized. At that point even the most out there reader that wants to simp her is able to tell that HE CAN NOT BE BLAMED FOR ANYTHING.

Rereading really showed just how bad she was this chapter. ch13 vs ch16 shows how unbalanced their relationship/power dynamic truly is. She can't get over her status, abusing it unknowingly and still wants him, he just wants something genuine.
