In the end, what pushed Kurumi over the edge and commit the murder that would destroy her life was her love for Hikari and guilt, not wanting to again be the reason for crushing Hikari's dream. Even knowing Hikari had rejected and completely betrayed their childhood's link. Absolutely tragic.

On another note, no idea what Reisho means with "shouldn't be able to harm the administrator". Uh ? Have we seen anything about that before ? REGIS caspsules being able to actively mind-control ? This goes much beyond memory control, or diffusing informations in people's retinal screens to incite them to act.

Also, damn, now I need to go reread the entire thing for signs of Sayaka's memory loss. Although Sayaka's mastery of her capsules probably means she was able to properly setup self-briefings and mementos that would have been invisible to anyone else.

And I guess, the biggest hint : Sayaka didn't get tired of needing to constantly re-explain the same stuff to Kurumi, because she herself didn't remember having to explain it the day before !

i guess there wasnt enough time to write down "the password is:"
She didn't know she'd fall asleep that fast. He used something in his hand to immediately knock her out. I imagine she jotted down a quick note in the panic but also assumed she'd get to talk to Sayaka before going to bed. Sounds typical; all she was worried about was remembering the exact phrase. She'd already started planning when he touched the item and forcefully put her to sleep.

Like that one song he’s only human after all don’t put the blame on him

I don’t know I actually kind of liked that his last moment was him being petty
It's just that he's been the one inhuman character of the series. Flipping that on its head in his final moments for no thematic reasons is just weird.

I disagree quite heartily really. It's possibly one of our most human traits to have people obsessed with power deny the humanity of others. Reishou the monster exists because he is narcissistic enough to think himself right and only himself, so him being petty to those who 'disagree' with his "gracious" gift of imprisonment is perfectly in character.

That is a great reframing of Reishou's humanity. But pettiness comes from a place of weakness, where he doesn't truly believe himself to be above everyone else but nonetheless needs himself to be. That's just not Reishou.

Also it should be mentioned she’d gone from being 10 years old to suddenly waking up a decade later, seeing Hikari, her childhood crush, hate her to the point she can’t even bear to remember she existed, escaping Familie with Sayaka, and FINALLY getting to be outside. Also she had been running on pure adrenaline, as stated by Sayaka, and then just murdered someone she knew with a knife. It’s a damn miracle she actually had the presence of mind to write that note first instead of collapsing into a sobbing mess.

What a good chapter to be caught up on.
...But how the hell does Sayaka have the same disorder??

Kinda sucks tbh. I liked the aspect of the story that Sayaka lived with and loved Kurimi for so many years yet tragically no matter how much she does for Kurumi, how long her love grew, that Kurimi's love would be back to square 1. But now since Sayaka also forgets everything (except for the events up to the day of the murder I suppose) it's a bit less sad. It also makes Sayaka less obsessed and mentally ill for doing the same thing everyday for Kurumi which is less cool.

I guess it'll be cool to see how Sayaka updates her memory each time though.

And also it feels a bit more scummy that Sayaka doesn't tell Kurumi that they are in the same boat, nor does she help Kurumi with noting down memories like she does.

But then comes the question of HOW Sayaka got this disorder. To answer that, we must wonder when it happened. You could assume it was on the same day as Kurumi, but we don't know, and it's clear that Reishou only "cursed" Kurumi while he was dying (unless after Kurumi walked away he was still alive somehow)

At first I thought it could be self inflicted, aka Sayaka tries to empathise with Kurumi this way, but that's impossible since it's done with Reishou's private network thing.

Then did Reishou curse Sayaka this before coming to their home? How much earlier? I really have no theories for this. Idunno

My most basic theory is that Reishou cursed Sayaka just before coming, and only cursed Kurumi as well after deeming her a threat too.

But wasnt the dont trust sayaka password only specific to Kurumi's curse? That is what's confusing me. Mainly
