I love how the more we get to know the doctor the more insane she is. Also how her plan has just backfired as now Marie just loves the guillotine more

On page 32, I can't help but see Lafine as Cammy White in that one panel.

So, Marie needs to be stripped of her title and executed to have the death penalty abolished. Well Lafine, looks like you're only getting half the job done. Makes me wonder what happened after Marie's executions in Lafine's storyline. Did she get her wish or was she executed herself for committing regicide? If the latter, how many people went down with her? And what about the people in the slums? With Marie gone, so will the benefits that were provided to them by her and her allies. Throw in Lafine getting executed and they've lost their clinic as well.


As insane as Lafine is, I doubt that would actually work. Because of her "dream", she probably believes the only way to truly have it abolished is to execute Marie.

The fact that yeah she saw the first timeline in a dream does big the question if others have had or will have the same dreams. It does beg the question of how long does it take for time to reset since it does seem like there is some time passing after she dies.

One of these times she's gonna get executed and isekai'd into the skyrim intro. That last one was crazy. In a dream my ass!

Although anything that forces the protag to become a better person is sort of a good thing. She was a monster tyrant before so killing her was kind of justified. If she becomes a better person (willingly or unwillingly), she can build a stronger coalition of people who will protect her in the future.

It’s amusing to me that she didn’t entertain the thought that getting rid of Lafine was’the easiest solution.

The funny thing is, I think she'd like that... at least if it happened with her precious guilliotine. I think she wants to be reunited with mommy dearest, in every sense of the word.

Even if it's for fractions of a second, feeling the edge of the guillotine cutting your flesh must be extremely painful. That is, until the nerve endings are severed and can no longer transmit information to the brain, which will likely begin to die immediately. But even so, I suppose it's better than dying from the feeling of having your head ripped off with a dull, rusty blade, going from suffering for microseconds to several whole seconds in the worst possible agony. It must hurt like hell itself.
