The one thing that will always confuse me about these condemned villainesses is their fates. Unless they literally try to kill the "heroine" then their fates are usually extreme... Plus where are the teachers, especially since one of the capture targets is usually a teacher. Generally I have to shut off my brain to enjoy these, but it kind of makes you wonder 🤔. Is bullying really such a big deal that these ladies must die, be imprisoned, or sent to a brothel?
There's two ways to look at it.
From the game/story perspective. The villainess is a challenge that the heroine has to overcome by winning the hearts and minds of the capture target or targets to defeat her. The 'good end' usually results in the villainess banishment or something worse depending on the capture target mood.
From a historical perspective. At a time it wasn't unusual for elites male's to have a number of wives or mistresses. In cases of infidelity, using the villainess as a scapegoat to get out of a engagement is one thing that can be done. Banishment or murder is a good way to hide the fact that he cheated on her with another woman.
King Henry the VIII had six queen consorts with three of them being his legal wife in his life with several mistresses. Two of them was beheaded, look up what happened to Anne Boleyn Catherine Howard
