@Zing and you also seem to be mixing real world senses with this fictional one. If the only standard for the demons to become king is just to be strong, it's in Eric's rights to inherit the throne then. Not to mention, again, Eric stopped an active attempt at war. It's even pretty clear that Eric did it only to protect his village, not with a planned scheme. PLUS, if his power is so vast and acknowledge, would it not be efficient to get him into their side, by, oh i dunno, recruiting him? Oh wait, they did. Eric didn't even do it alone, he had 3 other supporters, so no he does not have enough power to over throw a king, at least not alone.
