See, this is why you don't expose yourself. Priest girl wouldn't be as screwed had she stayed hidden.

Where did she even get those items from?

That is a good question.

If those are skills made as object copies then who made then? Philio isnt exactly the brightest bulb in the dungeon or outside it, where she gets those things was never explained and then we have Daniela that have a connection to Philio that was never explained either.

Gonna assume the accusation game is going backfire so hard on the priest girl. Due to the fact Philo's too dumb to do anything malicious like that.
Also Lavi is going to be on her side no matter what, so he'll convince the others not to turn against her. I expect the elf girl and Daniella will have their back, too.

Also good plot twist. I can't believe I didn't see it coming. Now the question is why were they being put into items and why does Philo have them in the first place?

...so the reason the nun wanted Philo was because she wanted the items that were somehow stolen from her?

I imagine she somehow had them crafted, then being a dingus left them around somewhere that Philo was passing by and she just took them for her merchant gig, without realizing what they truly were.

And there's also the fact that, apparently, the items imbued with the skill actually were stronger than the original skill (likely because of having "partly-negative" effects). Which makes it even weirder.

I suppose when the fox merchant joins the rest of them, after Philo gets abducted, she'll explain Philo's missing memories.

So wait... the skills stolen by the Skill Eater just magically appear as items in Philo's bag or something?
'Cause Lapin's skill is being able to steal skills(I might be misremembering that), so Philo has a skill to convert skills into items..?

Crazy nun is getting desperate.

And you know what happens when people get desperate.

They make mistakes.

So philo had a bag full of skills huh? Funny as I was just wondering where exactly she got these from. Can't wait to see how exactly.

Thanks for the chapter.

I assumed that "getting magic items to sell" was a special attribute of the Merchant job. Like they have no stats or fighting ability, so they attach themselves to adventurers who will buy the items that they get as a result of their job.

I assumed it was her unique skill.

Looking back Daniela introduction was in chapter 2 (she been a long time in this series) and what she said was both were adopted by a Merchant that taught then but 7 tears before Philio left, we do see in a info box that Daniela is both a Merchant and a pervert Assassin but not Philio, I think even other characters had a info box with their job and even level but she never had one.

From what I remember, magic items are made by infusing 1 or more spell effects into an item. If the effect(s) is/are too strong, it wares away at the item, with the worse case being that it crumbles away after 1 use. The items can be reinforced by applying negative effects or conditions to use them.

Our fox merchant seems to have "skill items" made by using Skill Eater's ability to "borrow" skills. They might run by the same rules at magic item crafting, which would explain why so many of them have such weird side effects or are hard to use. They also seem to have the condition of "return skill if in contact with original user", which may or may not factor into their ability to upscale their skill effect

I had always just assumed she made the items herself and that they were mostly defective items that were situationally useful. It seems that she was somehow linked with Skill Eater, but had her memory of it erased, and has just been turning the stolen skills into items this whole time
