Kinna late but she didn't use katana for slashing, the scabbard is still on the sword, she use tip of the katana to break her throat, which is as deadly as break a neck. She chose the Katana for that... Which is a bad option for dismemberment. That's a slashing weapon sure, but cleanly cutting through bones would require a far more heavy weapon, like an executioner's sword, for someone who's lacking muscle like her. There's only so much that the sharpness of a weapon can do. If you can't cut through a Gambison with a Katana, what makes you think you can cleanly cut through bones? That gaudy double headed axe would've been a better option. We can just assume that somehow the modification to their bodies also modified their bones to be easily cut and broken.
Well either way. I'm happy to see that Momono survived. And I'm not surprised she just straight up murdered whoever was closest and convenient to kill, no morals about it, just gaming it out. She already won more than a dozen games, and while she did say this was a cooperative game, it indicates she's familiar with all sorts of games. It turning from PVE to PVP probably just switched gears in her head, that's all.
...
Basically girl is a psychopath.
Dude, its death games. Kinko fumbled and let Aoi die, Beniya wasted time for selfish reasons. And if the first girl had survived to make 6 for the first game, there would have been even less time to get the keys to everyone.
And if more survived, more limbs would have to be chopped off (like yeah they can be reattached but its still traumatic). And Kiniko being left behind meant she would of died anyway.
While I'm line 99% sure this is a fetish manga, its not completely pointless to argue morality, logic, and human fallibility due to predisposition and societal value influences.
You can say Yuuki is horrible but she literally has no choice. When you sign onto these games (for the most part), you submit yourself to the dictated rules of the rich and powerful (much like real life). How many people are actually going to be selfless and say they will sacrifice themselves? How many will turn around in a group and say the person with the least to live for, like Yuuki, should be the one to die and how does that make it right?
You can die morally right but nothing will change. So its back to the most base of instincts living beings have, survive any way possible.
That's why I'm having issues with the majority of death games/death rooms/escape rooms stories. If the game is rigged to make winning impossible, then all of the rules and game challenges are useless to begin with and the winner is predetermined. That was a bullshit trap.
Bad Death Game Etiquette.
Good Death Games allow for everyone to survive, with all deaths being user errors.
This is just a bad show, which would probably annoy the audience due to being cheap bullshit.
