Why is her personality suddenly a 180 from cold quiet and calculating to full of emotion, loud and whimsical

Maybe getting understimated and disrespected by noobs really upset her more than she made it show.
So when the lead bitch got cornered by her own inexperience, it was too good an opportunity for Yuuki to demand an apology out of her.
But I also agree the sudden turn was unexpected.

Also keep in mind what Yuuki said just the chapter before, about "getting points from the viewers of the deathgame"
She may have acted out of character on purpose to put up a little show, only that it backfired because she didn't really know what she was doing, since in fact she was really out of character even inside the story.
She overplayed it, and turned out to be a little jerk, probably she lost points with the deathgame viewers instead of gaining them in that moment.

The whole thing about "gaining points" needs to be talked more about.

just another boring ass, mentally ill: "watch cute girls kill each other" anime.
That's not a bad thing

That feels way out of character of Yuki. Not sure I like that.
I'm surprised you guys didn't understand

Yuki literally said she would put a show to get some extra points, she is acting like that to get points with who are watching, she is just acting because she pretty much cleared the game, she is "safe" that she can come out when she decides to leave, so she is putting up on a show

This shit is fucking retarded. Glad i skipped around...

just another boring ass, mentally ill: "watch cute girls kill each other" anime. Trash on the trash pile, for trash people. Can't believe this shit got an anime. I think their entertainment department is just as retarded as Hollywood.
Atleast put a reason why you find the show like that??? Majority of games so far is not even each girl killing each other. I can say some popular show is trash etc2 without im understand them properly... your words only valid if you put logical reason, wtf did you expect us to respond???

Anyway, all death games is about killing each other to survive, soo idk why you are even here.

The show put alot of details that people easily missed, maybe you one of them too... soo try to prove yourself understand the whole show instead of telling us empty words and apologize to us because we read your empty words

So, is this a case where a lot of things are context dependent, not just "tropes"? I mean, like, that bitch makes her "doki doki" because she can make a great show with her when she completely defeats her?

Well, everything is context dependent. Looking back at what Yuuki did and said before makes this turn seem less unexpected. It's still surprising though.

Lol, that's something I hadn't thought about before, but that's possible.
Maybe she's excited to have a real rival, someone who could stand on her same level. Though in this kind of death games having a rival is a really bad thing to have, it raises the risk of having troubles, and so a more likely death.

On a less serious note, I was thinking Yuuki may like hugely long hair, like the very long hair her mentor had, and also what this bossy bitch has.

I just wanted to say that because of the "kira kira doki doki" effect, it's very easy for this scene to come across as a "random rom-com" rather than an important character meeting in context.

Tbh I don't even feel Yuki is as cold as she is portrayed like in the 1st ep of anime or even 1st chapter of this manga adaptation.
She just looks smug on almost every panel, besides, this is supposed to be her 10th game too so she is nowhere near as experienced as she is in 1st chapter.
