Boomer scans pulling through!! 💕
Been dying for the newest chapter. The anime is very artistic but it leaves out details the manga provides and explains.
I started reading the manga before the anime, but after the anime finale it feels like I started reading the manga for the first time and things are very different lmao. Even on the level of fanservice and character design, the anime seemed to have abandoned it entirely.

Now is that for the better or the worse....?
I do think it's a good thing if adaptions are different, though I have to say the anime adaption does come across as a bit sterile.

It's hard to say. The anime has a lot of holes due to its lack of explanations like the manga, but I can also say that the manga does a lot of things rather goofy due to its focus on bishoujo aesthetics.

for those interested, the second light novel has also been translated into English (it’s even available at public libraries in the U.S.). it has this arc in it, so it’s good if you’re feeling a bit impatient.
(the light novel explains Yuki’s reasoning at the end here in a bit more detail…she figures they only have to whittle away ten, maybe 15 girls from any scouting or attack teams before the entryway team calls a truce. basically the entryway team’s goal is “steal all keys” but her team’s goal is “make the number of players equal the number of keys”)

I thought that reasoning was perfectly clear in this manga chapter...

I got really hooked after the first 2 episodes so I went looking for the manga cause I couldn’t wait. I noticed it’s very different. The anime had a good start but I think it went too fast so they had to slow it down by the end. They also went out of order compared to the manga and made odd changes to the character personalities and events.

It's even weirder when you realize they actually cut out parts of the series to make a movie out of them.
