The least believable/most surprising thing in this chapter is that Riho wasn't with Kubaru waiting for MC to come back. When MC didn't immediately come back safe she just let Kubaru leave with everything unresolved?

...Probably for the best, if she had seen what happened to MC she probably would have finished off Kubaru's Dad right then and there

author went on hiatus and forgot riho

Maybe Im wrong, but saying Kubaru is an unreliable narrator here is wrong, because we don't see this backstory from her pov, from 🍅's

It's from the dad's POV. He's the unreliable narrator because he sees her as a child and not a manipulator. If anything, this kinda reinforces the darker possibility of him being her puppet.
