I know the author has had various hiatuses, but what schedule is the manga generally released on?Real "I'm not locked in with you, you're locked in with me" vibes.
And with that, we are officially caught up with the raws!
Now I can actually share my full thoughts without spoiling anyone. Sure is frustrating to hold back on participating in discussions because you have knowledge of the future and don't want to be that guy. Sorry for the wall of text.
Anyway, boy what a ride that was to get here. We went from suicide to a yandere to a car crash and now a serial killer. And it's only been like, what, a week in the story? When I first started reading this series last year I was just as clueless as all of you but by the end I was way too captivated by the train wreck? Insanity? Hodgepodge of crazy girls the author was cooking with.
Is it in part because I adore absolute batshit insane, manipulative girls like Kubaru? Yes. I mean that's probably 90% of the reason I stuck with it. But I also can't stop coming back because of how the author leaves you hanging every time and you can never predict what he's gonna throw next, both in a good and bad way. It's like I'm back to reading Boy's Abyss except with less despair and depression and with grounding in reality long obliterated.
Is this series actually meant to be taken seriously or is this all a masterfully crafted joke? Or as the zoomers put it, is this peak or is this trash?
What will Kubaru do with Hiro? Will she become a puppet too? And what will the author's next food commentary be? I have no freaking idea. I'm on the sinking boat with you all now.
One thing is for sure: this is Kubaru's doll house and we're all playing in it.
Seeing you all slowly lose your minds with each new chapter when I knew a new truck was around the corner was extremely entertaining. Like watching a real life frogs in boiling water experiment where the story tests you to see how much you can take before you jump off, or if you just let yourself get consumed.
To tell you the truth at some points I was scared that the community would majorly sour on this manga. Sure enough at various chapters many people quit and called this trash, which I can't blame. I had to mentally tell myself that it's not my fault, I didn't write this, I'm just a messenger. But sometimes it's hard to keep motivation to translate when many people dislike what you're working on. I think that's also partly what made me translate so much backlog at once. If I have it all done before people can criticize it I won't lose motivation to continue!
But I was relieved to see that despite that plenty you still came around to seeing the series for what it primarily is (at least so far, lord knows what might come later): just some crazy fun, and for better or worse stuck around to see how much further this train could derail. I really appreciate you all coming to these threads and commenting, regardless of how you feel about the series.
I will of course keep translating it whenever new chapters come out, but this is the end of daily posting. Thanks for being there.
Next chapter comes out September 17th.
Shameless plug: Outside of this I also work on a normal cute manga called Garuru Girl too, if you want something to cleanse your brain after this.
Random side note: before I chose to scanlate this manga I was actually pondering scanlating another weird ass manga that's also got a manipulative toxic main girl (and that one had ntr to boot which I'm sure would have been adored here! /s) called "Kimi no Mae de Kimi Igai wo Daku" or "Having Sex With Someone Else in Front of You" but I chose not to because it's beyond censored, like entire black pages censored, and because it looked way more annoying to clean (all this to say I think I'm just genetically attracted to walking red flags) but looking back on it now, I really think I made the right decision in choosing Kubaru-Chan. Despite the roller-coaster it became, it's always something entertaining every chapter and I think a lot of people eventually accepted the craziness. And no I'm not going to start working on that other manga now, this one already taught me I'm too busy to pick up more stuff (looks like someone's picked it up anyway.).
Nice to hear your thoughts.Real "I'm not locked in with you, you're locked in with me" vibes.

Ah, that’s very good to know. I’m used to those kinds from following Nagatoro. It is biweekly, coming out every other Tuesday. Chapter 30 was last Tuesday so 31 is next Tuesday, Septemer 17th.
Although there were multiple hiatuses, none lasted more than a month if that makes you feel better. They were all one chapter hiatuses, meaning we had to wait 4 weeks instead of 2 for the next chapter.
I KNOW IT IS YOU SHYLILY!!
