i love how this played out. the mangaka really thought of so hard for this. also, the youtuber guy just reminded of that someone from "how to fight" manhwa
Ah yes, bully hunters. They do exist. Especially in South Korea but sometimes they may mess with the wrong bully whose parents are really influential and can ruin their lives. So unless they're going full crazy influencer mode then they would probably do a background check on the bully to make sure there wouldn't be heavy blowback.
Thing is I wouldn't mind if it were other highschool students that were the hunters. Having an adult also probably made it easier for the author to write it as a one off situation. If it were other students they would probably become more essential to the story and would have to be reccuring characters. Also I don't have an issue with the bully not being redeemed. Not every person will be or will try to. Some even believe that they didn't do anything wrong. That's for mental health specialists to handle not their peers. The problem I see in manga is that the author sometimes will have highschool students double as mental health professionals. Somehow giving advice sounding like a well seasoned adult but still being a teen. Always feels off when I see that.
