Well, it wasn't a gag or joke. Japanese people just like to randomly use english words. Ignoring loanwords, english speakers (or well, at least Americans in media) do this a lot too, eg saying "Oui", "Danke", "Gracias", "Arigato" "Si", "Bon appetit", "Vamos", etc. Usually French or Spanish afaik, so I swapped it to Spanish rather than using another font or just leaving the TL note. Japanese people like to use english words a lot more though, I guess it's trendy.I really fucking hate, in manga, when English language gags are swapped to spanish.
not gonna happen i think,Come on, author, give us the chapter where Koshitan and Shikanoko have a real date.
Hope the other deer mascots shown in their anime's last episode get featured in the manga at some point, not as "opponents" like they did there but as visitors/guest stars or even have the deer club travel to other prefectures and meet some of themback when the anime came out and they had the first meeting, i suggested a few things the deer club could do as an ACTUAL club:
these have SORTA come true. the deer cracker one is addressed and seems to be something that might happen in fall, they've basically adopted tsunoda, and nokotan's anatomy was studied somewhat in here (although not by much)
- adopting deer to take care of: cleaning, grooming, feeding, and raising baby deer
- learning how to make the deer crackers
- field trips to nara or zoos to observe deer's daily lifestyles
- studying nokotan's anatomy
- spreading awareness of deer related problems
- arts and crafts shit like making fake antlers
this being a comedy manga, it would be INTERESTING to see them tackle overpopulation, but they probably wont. raising a baby deer would be adorable tho.
