Honestly though I’ve really enjoyed these last few chapters. It’s odd to say but I feel like the story is hitting its stride by going into the outside relationships affect the main pairing.

@G-P I think it's to show that Shikimori isn't a petty bitch and that she doesn't want to needlessly push away people in Izumi's life just because they happen to harbor feelings for him as well. That, and to show that the "rival" isn't really a rival since they have no desire to get in between Shikimori and Izumi's relationship. Kamiya simply wanted to know that the one that got to Izumi first wasn't a bad person and would take care of him where she could not.
