@Kiriha With how different this time period is from the one he came from, it might as well be an Isekai, and you could maybe just enjoy the comment section for what it is.

@gaigous Yeah, i see your point. It also might be possible that it's a parallel world which history went different direction than his original world.

@Kiriha I like that idea, a parallel world would be a more satisfying reason for him having a religion than just "over time they worshipped me" IMO

@GreyouTT Well, he was living in a time period where magic was very advanced, so giant magical light shows can't have been too uncommon.

@gaigous At the same time I could see them thinking his reincarnation spell was him ascending to god hood. It was pretty damn fancy looking.

What I hate aboot this one is how no one is a match for him
not even the devils who have practiced and improved their magic and techniques throughout the years the MC is gone.
Its like advancement only continues when the fker is alive and present.
Its complete wish fulfillment , ONE PUNCH MAN, reincarnation/second chance, harem series
don't interpret the story any deeper than a puddle in the desert.
Just enjoy it for the OP MC thrill guys,
This one does not deserve your debate and critical thinking.

That redshirt demon was a more interesting character than the actual MC.....

Too bad Ruri and Alma were probably raped by the black demon...

I guess we'll see in the next chapter. Until it's released, we can only ask the translators to translate the next chapter faster... or blame them for not doing so, whatever keeps you going, man.

@greyhud90 I'm waiting for him to actually fight those universe-monster-thingy.
You know, the very reason he choose to reincarnate.

So never ever, I guess.

One Punch Man isn't good because it's about how cool and strong Saitama is and how everyone wants to see him fight all day because it's so rad. I mean, a lot of people might think that way, but they're idiots.
One Punch Man is good because it treats stupidly strong characters realistically. Sometimes it's about comedy, sure, but much more than that it's about how it's lonely at the top, and how if you can solve everything easily you just end up bored out of your mind. It's also about the side characters, in a way much more than it is about the main character, and how they develop in reaction to meeting a force of nature who cares about being a hero but would rather get groceries than help his reputation.

I feel like this isekai is somehow the one that pushes it over in the same way for me. Not in the same engaging, character driven way that OPM does, but it's a similar kind of thing where the power level is so off the charts that it manages to become interesting in other ways because we already know there's no tension in the fights. It helps that the inner monologues are about gauging strength and how easy certain things would be as well. I'm sure even the super awesome toughest final boss would be a piece of cake for this dude, but the way he acts like the snake was almost a danger makes me think I might actually be interested when he says there's a fight he can't possibly win.

I guess it's a matter of scale. There's a lot of isekai where the protagonist is the coolest dude around and everything he does is the most strong and everyone wants to fellate him while he poses after slaying the new demon lord.
Yet somehow, when you bump it up a notch to the point where literally everything he does is a revolution on scale with people bringing laptops to the 1300's, where his loot makes a tavern freak out and they get a letter from the head honcho of the school for magic innovation telling them "hey if it's that guy, don't even think about it, he's too wild," somehow it's the most engaging new manga I've read in a while.

Absolutely wild.

@Sapioit you can always ask pay them so they can release faster (if the raws are available, there's no point in asking paying if the releases has finally caught up with the raws)... nah nvm... lets just enjoy...

@Anonyan OPM is proof that OP MCs can be interesting, having said that, everyone likes their junk food: Isekai, harem, and OP MCs, take your pick, I like all three.

I love how ironic it is when fantasy manga have gone from 0 to 100 in terms of just CRAZY CREATIVE ideas, but what makes people read/watch it more is when realism, something over 9000 lightyears away, is applied to these crazy ideas.

What i don't like about this manga is the smug face of the MC when flaunting his OPness.... But i'll keep reading it inbetween other releases.
