I'm gonna be pissed if it turns out to be something cheesy like: "We were all just trying to make you jealous because you're so aloof" or "Wow, now that you're not interested in us and dating someone else, you're so hot mob-san".
That's too stupid to happen considering how those girl being depicted can't be interpreted as goofing around at all. But if it does then we know how low the author IQ (or should I say EQ since the problem lies in what we interpret it and what the author want to convey?).

God this self-deprication is annoying to see. This whole "I know my place in the world" attitude and mindset is so dumb. I know it's core to the hivemind mentality Japan has but it's just annoying to see someone just accept their situation and not do anything about it unless some divine thing (or person in this case) comes by. Rant over.

There's a tragedy in how Shiho is like a pretty bird who escaped the birdcage when she's with Koutarou. Her personality is popping off because she's found actual freedom being away from her suffocating blowhard of a childhood friend.

Those suggestions he's hearing from his reflection are pretty sus. What are the chances the 3 other girls are also hearing similar suggestions? Like, we know Shiho already has an ability of sorts, it's not that big of a leap to think this other guy might have one too, and from what we've seen it could be: making other people hear things he wants them to think?

As for Shiho, I'd say she's likely protected from this by her own ability.

Lets just say, everything happens "conveniently". There's no strange ability besides Shiho's ability to "hear". There's also no supernatural entity at work. The story did mention Romcom God, but even that is suspicious as the way it's told can still pass as just how certain characters make logical of the events. Just like how Rito always falls with a girl's butt or boobs conveniently on his face because Act of God.

What Ryouma has is an excessive ego and self-confidence, but that's exactly the opposite of the typical romcom protag these days (too afraid to talk, indecisive, always just going with the flow). For most people in the story, that makes him someone they can and want to depend on, hence the girls being attracted to him (there are finer details between individuals). And he got the right timing to meet the girl when they need it the most, but it's not like he is conscious about it, that's just what had been happening throughout his life.

He had a long history about that.
Personally, Kotaro has bad emotional development. Well, his mom is the same, she's logical, but can seem heartless. She asks him many things, but she never appreciate it, he grew up feeling he failed his mother's expectation. She eventually told him to just follow her orders (she's spoiling Azusa though). Kotaro doesn't actually like reading, he only did so because his mother told him, and his reading is more like gathering information than enjoying literature.
During middle school, with Kirari, he started reading novels, and use tropes to abstract the happening in real world to know how to react. This is to cover his inability to understand other people's emotion. And after doing that, he finally found a character archetype that fits him best, the Mob character. Ever since then, he use it as a guideline about his position in the world, and how he should act.
Shiho is the first person whose appreciation reached his heart (Kirari had tried, but failed), that's why he is moved by her.

It won't.
Kirari and Yuzuki choose Ryouma. He also finally see their feeling and promise to think of an answer about who he will choose between both. The girls repaired their relationship with Kotaro that they no longer ignore him, but there's no romantic thing between them.
Yuzuki even outright says she hates Kotaro. In the LN because he really act like a jerk in front of her family in order to set up the stage for Ryouma to be the hero who saved Yuzuki from her forced engagement. In the WN because they know they're too similar to give what they both wanted (appreciation).

Azusa just quit the romcom things and settle with being a sister, it's more fun and gets her more benefits without having to do anything compared to being a girlfriend.

It's like Ryouma's biggest, most obsessive admirer is the MC and no one else comes close.

This whole comment resonates with me, I'm over here talking to myself (actually with the MC) saying "OH FOR FUCKS SAKE SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU CRINGELORD!"

The whole Ryonosuke or whatever his name thing also got me annoyed, why should you care so much about what someone like HIM thinks/feels? That ain't fair to the FML at all smfh
