Well ok... He surely should respect Shiho (and he is ignoring her clear rejection), but... I was expecting he would be a real ass nut in the end he was not really?

The guy cares about himself and how the feelings of others validate him or not, that's why azusa's confession "healed him".

All their life he took shiho's silence towards him as if she was sad, tired or sickly until MC appeared, you can see all that in previous chapters.

Seeing that this girl thought/viewed her actual brother as nothing for this loser really sucks. Shiho can sense this guy is trouble (probably the best friend in an NTR world type) and he just dismisses everyone else. Like I really hope that the MC ends up alone realizing that nobody likes him after he kept stalking one girl and ignored the rest.

It's not that simple and it's mainly a pov problem, first of all, the real Mc of the story was so passive before the story starts that it actually hurt his relationship with the other characters, for example library friend was actually expecting a confession from him, Lil sis actually idolized him when they first met but he was someone who barely existed or reacted, his passiveness reminded the other girl friend of how she was also very submissive so they started to drift apart without Mc even noticing, etc. Then two things happen :

- Harem Mc arrives and just by existing overshadows the real Mc as he was at that point

- the meta part of the story kicks off and influences everyone and everything to like the Harem Mc for no reason and everything starts happening in his favor since he is "the protagonist"

The only exception to this is shiho who has her own superpower you could say, and also by being the main heroine, she heals Mc after sensing something special in him.

Each of the three girls is very different on How they deal with the feelings the new guy causes and how everything unfold for them, in the case of the little sister she's been on her way to redemption for 10 chapters already after she didn't tell Harem Mc about her bro and Shiho when she found them T their house, she stopped ignoring him In public too, she actually says she doesn't feel she deserves to ask for the relationship they had previously after what she did, she even confronted Harem Mc for giving him too much work to do alone, and Mc was always going to forgive at least her, she's family (if they ever make vol 2 of the novels into the Manga too, you'll see how different Mc feels about her Compared to the other two,
fixes things with at least the library friend, with childhood friend things stay distant practically forever. In fact Harem Mc is so clueless about things, that way in the future of the story when he finds out that those three have a story with Mc, then he complains about them being his "hand me downs"

don't worry, it stays wholesome... Even if down the road in the novels there's shenanigans with beach and onsen chapters with many of the girls, the siblings stay only siblings even while no blood related, the most "incestuous" thing that happens is light teasing when Mc asks the sis what's her real type in men and she answers "someone like you", but it comes off much more like she recognizes him as her golden standard in men and finally sees him for all that he's worth

So our Mc lost all the girls around him by being passive instead of being the writer of his own life until he met FMc and changed,
while pseudo protagonist gained his harem by being passive and living in his own self-centered world ?

Talk about injustice...

Yeah... That's basically it, pseudo protagonist has the world revolving around him as long as his "mojo" is turned "on", but as we already saw in recent chapters, if he loses his cool... The plot stops working for him (we will see this again later and specially if the Manga goes beyond vol 1 of the novels)

Also were only seeing a fraction of what really happens later (later enough that it might not get adapted to Manga), the guy's Harem (maybe we should say fan club since it's not like he is actually with any of them) actually has dozens of girls, even sempais and the school nurse, and...

the guy loses his confidence, there's a literal scene of him walking over a hallway giving off loser aura from being depressed, and all those fangirls one by one snap out of the spell, at one point the only one that remains is mc's childhood friend since she's also somewhat of a doormat

thank you so much for doing the full chapters like this
