Vasqueztion:
Envy is wanting to take what others have, Jealousy is wanting others to not take what you have.
It's not that cut and dry; I think it would be more accurate to say that jealousy has the
additional usage of describing covetousness of a defended item or position (e.g. to "jealously guard" something).
However, being jealous of someone means exactly the same thing as being envious of them, i.e. wishing to have what the other person already has.
(Additional nitpick: In the general case, it's not necessarily "wanting to take", as much as "wanting to have".)
