There's one thing I don't really understand...
When I play MMOs or party based games, the team leader is the one with the most information, best strats and better overall comprehension of the situation and individual skills of the party.
Not the strongest or the one with the most kills.
In a society where your inborn skills means everything, wouldn't team leaders actually be Jack-of-all-trades type of people?
Wouldn't he be the team leader? Especially since his job was "guide"...

And is the Hero his real sister. I mean, wouldn't you be at least a bit concerned if your little sister was fighting in the front line of a huge, world-breaking war against monsters?


Well, this might actually be a good story. Most questions I have wouldn't necessarily be "plot holes" but maybe more "future plot reveals". This got me hooked.

The reason he thought it was okay to leave the party was because he was only there for the emotional support of his sister (who is so stronk she dont need combat support), and he thought ares could fulfill that role. Also, he genuinely felt difficulty catching up to the party because the only true combat potential (besise logistics) he got going for him was that he powerleveled early on.

@HuevoPodrido yeah, Lit really could have used a flashback, as there are a couple sizable, if minor, chunks of context missing. Hopefully she'll get one later, as there are a couple pretty important details in her backstory along with the minor stuff.

@aFFi I am pretty sure the story has themes tied to japanese social and cultural norms, etc. Where the MC has a view that there is someone "naturally" better for the job due to that person's "specs and class" which tends to be a theme expressed often in these "stat-based RPG fantasy" settings. Though, this story doesn't seem to be trying to transcend the MC's starting position and class by giving him OP stats/class/skills.
Though I will still hold my judgment, from what I can read here so far, the story is exploring the MC's "abstract skills" which are nearly impossible to grade and evaluate with standardized measures. That is a good contrast for this kind of setting which many "stat-RPG fantasies" do not explore and instead gorge on power-creep fantasy.

@PerfectDeath so, according with the beta MC japanese way of thinking, there's someone who can cook, gather information, do administratives, have medicinal knownledge, can hold his own in the battlefield and will treat well his little sister, do all of this like he did?

He accepted what someone else said too easily and didn't even try to rebuke the guy, the sad part is that his little sister will show up and go like "i love my big bro", instead of go mad at him for being a spineless coward who abandoned her.

If this were fire emblem Red would usually be the OP paladin you get at the beginning of the campaign and be the one thats used the most early on until you level up the rest of the Cast in this perspective i can see why he was left behind

Basically he gets raw material they sell it to potion makers.

@GerryCerryBerry Herbs lose effectiveness as time passes. Why let it rot when you can at least sell it to those who could use it? He couldn't sell them in his store due to the lack of customers.

the reason why the hero is emotionless is the fact that the Hero skill restrains her physically such as being tired,stamina, illness and emotion. Remember the scene where the sage was hugging her, she wanted to punch him and brake every bone in his body but her skill restrained her. She wanted to find her brother but the skill restrained her. The skill pretty much restrains her to stay on the path to seek the demon lord and kill him
