It is endlessly funny watching the typical isekai proceedings without the usual time skip. Really highlights how ridiculous things can get sometimes. Sir that is a literal baby you are threatening. I know this baby is responsible for your downfall, but it is still an actual, human child

To be clear, the people had no idea. That that oath device was magic was a secret only those in power knew. As far as the public knew they were watching a baby being freed of a slave collar and cleared of charges in exchange for a promise to help out. They had no clue that promise would be magically binding and force her into slave labor.

Glad this arc is over, It was a rather dumb arc in general as with the backing of both a nation and the church there should have been no trouble forcing this nation to free a baby that is known as a saint and hero from a slave collar. That she had to personally go get it was just stupid. And it also just is so counter to what we picked up this series for, a op magic baby and shenanigans. Sealing her powers to shift the spotlight away and to other is just counter to the premise.

I mean, if anything this arc showed how her ability to command / gain allies in unfriendly lands is also pretty strong and both of those are necessary for leadership roles such as being a commander and ruler so...

Sure, but those skills can also be shown from her taking the role of saint and wining over others as part of its work, In fact it was already shown when she first got the put as the saint, when crowed threw rocks at her and she turned it around and made them instantly feel bad for throwing rocks at a baby. Her leadership is shown constantly as a commander as well. This arc didn't really add those things to the series, nor was it a good way to showcase them.

The king did send a demand for it, as did the church. they just claimed it wasn't one of their collars despite it being a specials one that was a national treasure, and somehow got away with that with no further actions.
Somehow the king and the church couldn't put enough pressure on them to get that key. A simple, give us the key now or we will just tell everyone a national treasure of your nation was put on a infant hero dubbed the saint by a demon that attacked our capital. The collar was physical proof, just parade her around town showing it. Every nation and all the faithful would be in a uproar for the key to be handed over and those who tried to withhold its heads. Hell the nation with the key is full of devoted followers. This should have been instant.
