Is the map actually helpful for anybody?

War stories make a lot more sense and is more immersive when you get a good look of the battlefield. It's also easier to take in than a whole block of text, even if the map is rough. It could easily answer things like why not attack from this side or why is this division not reinforcing that division and so on. It's just a lot more intuitive.
