Like, I know the whole process of bringing Kai in as a criminal isn't something you do in a single day, what with all the legal processes and all the other annoying things that precede a trial, but still. Definitely doesn't help that we're being conditioned to not like Doris Valor either. Wonder how this will play out.

We sir have gone from "Lawrence of Arabia" to "The Thick of It" and now Kai must survive the imminent mudslinging and earn the favor of the opposition party's grandest pair of tits to push forward his agenda of liberating the vast tracts of land one of his beloved belongs to in order to fulfill the dying wish of the man he owed his life to.

It's kinda interesting how Kai has developed from the shy soft-spoken Japanese person we were introduced to. He's always been a silver tongued bastard, especially under his Grey persona but the previous arc has proven that even without that crutch he's become a rather smooth talker and a seasoned warrior in his own right.

It will be especially interesting to see that moment when Kai's prestige stands on his own and he no longer needs to rely on Grey's name to get things done.

2. saved a mermaid village(?)
3. Saved another village on a snowy mountain
And that's pretty much it, the plot is just as ticc as those boobas.

Last Arc was Centered on a Civil War between Nomadic People & the Queen of the Oasis.

TLDR
Kai basically Silver tongued his way into an Official Royal Threesome with the Queens of both Parties only to purposely fake his death to solidify the unification of the land by Widowing them. Sadly there was no Threesome action cuz it happened right after the marriage Ceremony & while they were addressing the people.

Yeah, but I wouldn't be surprised if they do start giving Kai his own accolades, even if in secret. Mind, that was something established over six to seven years ago, it wouldn't be surprising if they retcon it. Especially something like that seeing as how the passage you referred to spoke of a chronicle which in most cases is a secondary source and from the phrasing it does seem like his story has devolved into the realm of myth, meaning Kai might have just been a low ranking official in the grand scheme of things or his escapades did not survive the test of time.
