This chapter honestly felt like a waste of time. All it did was reestablish the MC is an idiot with no common sense or learning capability and set up for a cutish girl to be his servant. I’d much prefer him finishing the test and then adventuring with the party that trained him (and isn’t a complete waste of time). This is pretty boring if it’s just going to be another “everyone’s super weak, but I don’t realize it”. With the premise I was hoping for an interesting story, in the middle aged receptionists joining and being trained by the strongest party to assit them on adventurers and start the next stage of his life, but no. I’m also not sure why the author decided to start on his rank up exam and spend so much time on some random whiny brat and his sister, instead pf starting with how he decided to quit being a receptionist, met the strongest party, and joined and was trained by the party (and why they would bother with a middle aged receptionist). If this is just going to be the wish fulfillment trash where the MC is suddenly stupid OP, thinks he’s still weak, and just continuously is surprised as he one-shots everything, then it’s just boring. I’ll give it until the examination ends (or chapter 6; oh god if it takes more than one chapter to wrap up that test. Is it going to take this many chapters for him to do every examination to rank up from now on? Because he’s already better than A-rank). Also, random but if he’s joined the strongest adventurer party (which has been stated in a conversation with him and the dark elf maid) why does he NEVER mention it? Its not even on his application (it wasn’t on there when the knight read it last chapter). That’d be like if I started working a new career after graduating college, but NEVER told anyone when they asked what my job was, and instead told them about when I worked at a fast food place part time in high school. For that matter he hasn’t mentioned to anyone else that’s he’s spent the last two years training? How can anyone have this little self awareness or basic sense?!
