Does that mean that Shinozaki wanted to be like Inspector Gadget as a kid, able to pop open parts of his body to use any kind of machine he wanted to?

He had a bit of excitement when he first discovered the machines thinking he'd become an android, so it might be something along those lines where as a child he thought it'd be cool?
