Page 4 confused me a bit, until I realized the first hooded guy was running away and the other guy was coming out as a distraction.

And huh, MC went back to the point in time where they just arrived at the park. The previous times, he returned to just before he got injured and sent back to the future, right?

@Lafero: It’s because he’s starting to examine his own feelings. He doesn’t even know why his alternate hobo self was so obsessed with searching through Mika’s trash, and he’s assuming that it’s from the same obsession the stalker had in collecting those wrappers Mika threw away.

Idk, I mean, in the original future he was married and happy with mika. He should just try to get it back without being obsessed with her virginity anymore. Giving up on her is plain stupid, imo. He's just going from an extreme to the other.

@Legion_01: I’ve always held the thought that this story had one’s sense of self-worth in a romantic relationship as a theme since the start, since his lack of confidence from comparing himself to Mika’s past partners caused an issue in his ability to be intimate with her. But now he got this added worry in this chapter that his desire to have Mika’s virginity was fueled by a wish to possess and dominate her entirely (which is similar to all those guys who raped her or just used and threw her away in the original timeline), so compared to before when he thought he was unworthy of Mika because smol dik, now he thinks he’s unworthy of her because he believes he’s a total creep who’s unsuited to being loved.

It’s all come down to being a matter of confidence and being able to love himself by the end, I say.

In all this is one interesting as hell read. It is reaching the end and I honestly believe this is the climax of the series because he is just giving up Mika and of course backfire and fight or Mika spirit form will witness this because plot and something happens and they do end up as high school sweethearts

Hooded dude(mastermind) is actually just messed up in the first place, and has been obsessively collecting "mementos" of Mika since a year before. Been that way since way back, since he's been doing it to other girls as well. Meanwhile, hooded guy(accomplice) got involved because he got caught getting a good ol' sniff of Mika's shoes... that apparently tastes like sake lee (left over lee from sake production) and miso, according to the mastermind... yup.
