This is exactly the kind of thing I would have liked being explored a little more in the spin-off because, w/o this extra, all of it was implied: that Rio acted with malice and always looked down her own friends. This extra solidifies it.
I also agree that the decision to keep these on an app as bonus extras feels a little... weird. But I unfortunately feel this is just the "natural" step if, for example, a Japanese digital manga series or one-shot was originally published in web digital platforms (ie Pixiv's own manga platform) have digital bonus extras in their volumes, or limited editions from physical series containing extra material only available there (but not in digital and hell forbids if you are overseas and your local publisher cannot obtain the license for those :/).
Like, I would understand extra stories that do not interfere with the main story... not actual stories that make us help understanding why some characters (Rei or Rio) are that way? But I digress.
I wonder if "Momoka sleeps around" was also the perception we have about her since she seemed to be more sexually active than the other three women? Not to mention the sexy underwear she gives to Mahoro as a present) but, I mean, I have seen and read plenty of Japanese and Korean series to see how in Asian countries there is this common occurrence that "men and women cannot be friends"...
And, like? who says some of the men Momoka was hanging around with weren't just simple classmates and friends from her college's classes? And Rio, in all of her malice, just spread the rumors to make Momoka miserable with OTHER women, as well? (and not just "sleeping around with bunch of guys" and more "be careful or your crush/boyfriend might be next~").
(We all know Momoka eventually was "the other" in a cheating relationship but besides that...?)
Remember, Rio had this belief that "friendship between women is an illusion", so... what's better to test this out (with her spreading the rumors to start with)!
I do think it eventually will break down. (...) I can imagine that if she doesn’t want to do something that he absolutely does want that he’ll hold her cheating above her head for example. But as long as she acts how he wants her to and he like she wants him to, I think it will work out. But that’s unrealistic.
Wait until Itsuki and/or Rio decide(s) to have children
and one of them start putting much more attention to a baby...
