I don't like Haruto as a rebound either, I don't think he's been cute for doing the bare minimum of decency for a friend … and everyone framing it as him trying to win romantic affections was iffy. However, Mahoro did mention last chapter that she was definitely biased: her baseline was super low (thanks to Rei) and she was still feeling emotionally very vulnerable (thanks to Rio). Just her acknowledging that was enough for me for now.

More than anything else, I suppose we're in the endgame, which was frankly a bit surprising given how the party was basically impromptu. I'm curious what Itsuki had in store that he could leave the rest up to Mahoro. I think he knew she wanted Rio's fingerprints? I can't think much else apart from himself hiring a PI to gather evidence that could be used on the big screen for everyone to see as the final reveal to seriously break all the villains at once.

(If that's what he ended up doing, I'd love it so much.)

You see I think that’s the thing. He wasn’t always like this (at least not as bad) he probably put in some effort to get married since that was what his mother wanted he do. But, like with many people sadly, once the ‘ball and chain’ was around his wife’s ankle, he started showing his true colors more and more, escalating when he ended up getting with another woman because if he ‘got the goods’ elsewhere and Mahoro still acted like the maid and mommy he wanted, why bother putting on a nice act? He still gets what he wants without any real effort.

I think there's only time for one more twist. Right now Rio is the main suspect, we've been waiting for her to get busted for many chapters now, which is a clear indication Rio IS NOT the culprit. Or at least, not the only culprit. However this plays out, it's sure not going to be as simple as Rei and Rio having an affair.

It'll turn out Rei's been cheating on Mahoro with everyone at the party.
Rio, Kyouko, Momoka, Rio's husband, Kyouko's husband, Haruto, Rei's Friends, his mother, Rio's Husband's Cuck Chair, the baker at the cake shop, the clerk who checked them out. It will even come out that the stress of being fuckmaid-minus-the-fuck has cause Mahoro to develop a split personality, and Rei's been getting down and super dirty with Mahoro's other personality.

Only ten chapters left, this must be it people!

Ugh, I hate it when these manga only have the main couple get divorced in the last chapter then a time skip. They never show any of the character's single lives. I guess its because none of them have been through a divorce so they don't know how to write about it. /s

Yea I liked him at first when he was more of a subtle potential love interest. Now it's just kind of obnoxious.

I really don't think this is that kind of story. Maybe at the start of the story it was back and forth, but after Rio and Rei walked arm in arm out of the love hotel and then went to a restaurant where Rei said his signature catchphrase, "it's cheatin' time", there's no way there's a mystery culprit.
The story since then is all about finding out how Mahoro gets enough proof for her divorce and enjoying the unanimous hatred of Rei in the forum.
