I'm sure social media might be 'helpful' in some missing persons case but posting with selfies and stuff like that does seem like a bit of attention whoring the same way ppl post vids of them 'helping' homeless ppl

Oof i'm sure him seeing the cat food will be an important detail later on

LOL maybe i'm just not as 'sharp' (unless the police also have training for their senses too besides being a fast runner to catch culprits) but unless the kids were yelling i don't think i'd overhear them talking about the glasses even if there was no one else unless that part of the area was so quiet

I wonder if this will take the My Home Hero route.

dad was more of a father to the dead guy's kid in minutes than to his own son during his whole life

Yeah, the Dad is my least favorite member out of the family and this scene is one of reasons why. It is sickening for the Dad to act like that when he was involved covering up the murder of the kid's father.

Finding the glasses seems a bit ex machina to me for those detectives, maybe I'm reading too much into it.
Depends on how small of a town it is but yeah it is weird that the son or mom didn't dispose of them if not hang on to them/hide them when getting rid of the corpse, even if it was an impulse murder to begin with

guess it proves the author thought the evidence against them was pretty unsubstantial otherwise since they've had to railroad the detectives to every circumstantial evidence point so far
