hmm ponta has the same ahoge that eiji is supposed to have.

He was wearing a cap most of the time as a kid so it's not strange that his ahoge was hidden. (Or the different coloring hair is because he got a short haircut or something.)

Also, if you look closely, Eiji's hair is a bit more spiky or frayed on the edges. He's also more energetic in all the flashbacks compared to the current (and young) Ponta.

Even in the flashbacks, you'd notice that Ponta seems like he just goes with the flow... like what he's doing now.

Also, it's even funnier when you realize 'Class Rep' doesn't remember running into Eiji while she walked her dog. She passed Ponta, not Eiji.

Also, it's probably true that they were staying at Ponta's house... but only because they probably stay over at each other's houses all the time. Eiji, Ponta, Otaku-kun and Mika were probably the main group that does silly things, they just involve other friends... Class Rep was a friend too, but not the stay over and play games kind.

Though maybe Otaku-kun and Eiji did still visit each other's houses after Ponta left... or they all split up, especially in middle school.

Mika being the leader is hilarious though, he got more quiet and serious now. He's even content with just following.

Also, he got confused when Ponta questioned who he was. He must have assumed that since Ponta called out Mika, it must refer to him, thus Otaku-kun must be the other person... but somehow people got mixed up and he probably thought it was a bother to correct them at this point.
