Yea this is the MC's fault. Enemy isn't even dying and he just plainly reveals his secret to somebody who's at this point known to be a genius at taking traits from other races and incorporating them.

Because he's the MC everyone is forgetting who he was beforehand. Monologuing when he could and should finish off his opponent is in his nature.

DB is different. I don't watch it for the story (like what I was expecting from this manga); I watch it to see a bunch of burly martial artist aliens shout at each other and punch/laser each other to death.

Exposition bantering is fine.... But it has to have some logic or reason or something.... Or at least to be for the sake of the audience.....

For instance when villains kind of say their weakness and b******* like that, it's often for the sake of the audience and it works because the rest of the story is fun enough that we could overlook how dumb it is.....

Few things in stories are as frustrating as super power ups out of nowhere whille mc just watches.

To be fair.... The transformations are probably faster than they see and are usually slow down for the sake of viewers....

I'd say the real problem is that when the MC should have just killed him he was instead talking about how he was a reincarnation and b******* like that.....
